One More Time

Good afternoon! Thank you for everyone’s support on our journey. There is a plethora of organizations, institutions and individuals who have been instrumental in getting us where we are today.

St. Petersburg College gave us our start. We cannot continue to thank the MIRA program at SPC enough for providing the original platform from which we catapulted into the public arena.

All of the broadcast & print media outlets such as Creative Loafing, TBT, Tampa Bay Times, ABC Action News, Orlando Weekly, WMNF, SPC Radio, WEDU-PBS and others (who may not be mentioned here), have made sure we stayed relevant in the spotlight. You are all amazing!

If it wasn’t for great venues, where would we go to show off what we’ve worked so hard on? Thanks to The Palladium, The Local 662, FUBAR, The Bends, Brass Mug, The Amsterdam, Crowbar, Mkt on 7th, Cuban Club, State Theater, Red Lion Pub, Ringside Cafe, Ruby’s Elixir…and the list goes on. Every stage sparked a different side of TRC that we hope you had the pleasure of experiencing.

We’ve played local and out of town festivals, created compositions for humanitarian causes such as Embrace and Sign Language and plan on continuing to support our community.

Today is the last day that TRC will perform as The Real Clash. Thank you for being there for us and we hope that our presence has awakened hope that the industry is not all about sex, drugs and violence. Our creations touch hearts and peak curiosity.
Although much of the world in the media’s eye is not positive, we wanted our voices to challenge that and lift you up at every turn. This is what Hip-Hop looks like. The Real Clash will forever be Hip-Hop Redefined.

VOTE 4The Real Clash

On “Clash Wednesday”, February 17th, The Real Clash needs you!

All of your support and dedication to the movement has brought us here to this very moment. We are less than three weeks away from probably one of the most intense performances of our career as a band. We get 3 songs and only one chance to get it right. Out of 800 or more submissions across the US, TRC made it to the final 8.

THE LINE UP (order of performances randomly selected)…

Alexander the Great
Connor Vance
Denim Blue Music
Glass House Point
The Western Sons

Winner (The Real Clash, presuming ;-)) performs at the same event as…

Mumford & Sons
Kendrick Lamar
Robert Plant
Hall & Oates

and 100 Musicians from all over the globe. Exciting, right?!?!

The winner will be selected by POPULAR VOTE [insert: screams and obscene amounts of cheer and applause for The Real Clash here] at the Battle of the Bands show not only gains a slot at Okeechobee (what we really want) but…

$500.00 and Festival passes (what we can use).
Networking with artists like The Avett Brothers, Future, Fetty Wap, Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram) (very useful for career advancement).

#CheckIt: Votes will be made by Audience members in Attendance. 1 attendee = 1 vote.

We know you only have one crew in mind, and with that I exclaim…LET’S PACK THE HOUSE!!!

Stay tuned for updates!

Destination Okeechobee Round 2

Remember last week when we shared with you that we were in a race to be selected to perform at this year’s Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival? Guess what?! We made it to Round 2 of the competition for our region! Every sincere  Click, Like, Comment and Share by you, made this turn into something real.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Now it’s up to us to honor your love, doing things the only way we know how, by kicking ass and winning this thing. Don’t you think?

Although we have not been given the full details, this is what we know so far. The next leg of the race, for The Real Clash, takes place at State Theatre on February 17th. Fortunate enough to get this far, we’re confident that we will play the OMF this year.

On Wednesday, fatefully fitting, February 17th, The Real Clash hopes we can count on every one of you to be in the audience cheering us on. A humongous factor in determining our success is all of our TRC Family being in that theatre, tearing the roof off, making it undeniable who will be the “last band standing” as the smoke settles. So please, we hope you don’t mind if we ask a little more of you.

As more details come through we’ll keep you updated!

Thank you! See you on the 17th!
